About Hayden + Jane

Hayden and Jane grow certified organic, diversified vegetables and herbs, which has been the foundation of their farm, Goodie Farm located in Cherry Valley since its establishment in 2017. Beyond the standard suite of vegetables, Goodie Farm grows a niche mix of specialty greens, Asian varieties through hand no-till farming, focusing on direct-to-consumer, community-supported agriculture and chef partnerships.

Hayden is a first-generation farmer born in Georgetown, Guyana and raised in Southern California. Hayden has been farming for eight years and has extensive experience with crop planning, building infrastructure, succession planting, high-yield production, tunnel assembly, cultivation, harvesting, pest control, and soil management. With his experience, Hayden manages daily field production.

Jane’s career spans over two decades of experience in business, accounting and finance in the public sector. Born in Anchorage, Alaska – raised in Southern California she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family on the farm. In addition to her Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Business from the University of Redlands Jane hopes to continue building the educational component on Willowbrook farm, financial literacy for farmers, seed-saving and plant breeding.

Hayden and Jane will continue to offer u-pick berries, u-pick apples, private events, interactive farm experience and educational farm tours. They are committed to growing the highest quality produce locally in rhythm with the seasons, and are excited to grow with you all at Willowbrook Farm in Oak Glen.
